The 2025 Henniker Summer Concert series has been extended for an additional week with all-time favorite Nick’s Other Band closing out our season on Tuesday, September 2, sponsored by Henniker Family Dentistry and the Friends of Henniker Concerts.
After 25 years of performing, Nick’s Other Band has decided to slow down a bit from playing 35-40 shows a summer. According to band member Keith Barrett, “We may play a few special shows next year, but we are definitely finishing up after this year.” For this last year, Nick returns on drums.
So, maybe for the last time, come out and show your support for a group that has been the highlight of our summer series for years. Put on your dancin’ shoes and prepare to party on when they hit the stage and show them the love they deserve for a quarter century of music making. Twice named “New Hampshire’s Best Dance Band,” Nick’s Other Band covers classic rock ‘n roll tunes with tight harmonies and an irresistible bluesy style. They bring the crowd to their feet with easily recognizable tunes. Celebrate them while you can.
Making them our most devoted community partner, this is the eighth year Henniker Family Dentistry, a general dental practice with a strong focus on prevention, education and high-quality care for families, has sponsored our end-of-season bash. They always have something special planned for the concert, and this year is no different. Stop by their table. We are also especially pleased that our own “Friends of Henniker Concerts” audience members have helped to finance this 13th concert.
At this final concert of the season, you will have a chance to provide feedback on the entire Summer Series. Be sure to fill out the audience survey handed out at the concert or go to our Facebook page and fill out an online survey of the shows you attended. Your feedback is instrumental in deciding the musical talent for next year.
Grab your space in Community Park, put down your blanket or beach chairs and prepare for a lively evening in the good company of your friends, neighbors and loved ones. Bring a picnic supper or visit one of Henniker’s local establishments before or after the concert to complete the evening. Or, try some of the fare offered by our evening’s featured food vendor, Wicked Tasty.
We will be providing shuttle service to/from the concert for Henniker residents. The shuttles will stop at the Knolls and Rush Square to accommodate non-driving residents and in front of the Grange for people who park their cars in the Henniker Community School parking lot. This is to help alleviate some of the parking problems these higher attended shows create and to make it possible for more non-driving residents to attend the concerts. We have flyers at our table showing the shuttle routes and approximate times of pick up. We are indebted to White Birch for letting us use their buses to provide this service and to the Angela Robinson Music Fund and NH Charitable Foundation for the grant making this project possible.
The Henniker Summer Music Series is presented by the town of Henniker. Concerts take place at the Angela Robinson Bandstand in Community Park on Main Street beginning at 6:00 PM (in case of rain, the concert will be held upstairs at the adjacent Community Center).
