These grants are designed to fill gaps in funding and help make a meaningful difference in the Capital Region. As explained by 2025 recipient Charm Emiko, Director of Project S.T.O.R.Y., “This grant had a meaningful impact by providing youth access to diverse books and educational materials that supported programming. These became valuable tools for sparking conversations that encouraged young people to share their experiences, ask difficult questions, and learn from perspectives different from their own. The support [of the Funds for Education Grant] strengthened our ability to empower youth as students and readers, and also as leaders and advocates within their communities.”
Another recipient, the New Hampshire Telephone Museum, was selected to receive support for its Traveling Trunks initiative, which delivers hands-on STEM exhibits and educational activities directly to classrooms statewide.
“With limited funds for school enrichment activities and field trips, NHTM was able to visit dozens of public schools free of charge, thanks to grants like the one from the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce,” commented Director of Education and Development Megan Hurley.
Selected recipients are awarded a requested amount up to $1,000. Funded projects include—but are not limited to—nonprofit initiatives that support local students, after-school programs, educational summer camps, and innovative curriculum created by area teachers that are not funded by school budgets. Organizations are encouraged to contact Chamber President & CEO Bryanna Marceau at bmarceau@concordnhchamber.com if they are unsure if their project is an appropriate fit. Applications for the 2026 series of grants are open through Friday, September 25th. Tto learn more or apply, visit concordnhchamber.com/funds-for-education.
