We only got one adult letter to Santa Claus

A few weeks ago, we put the call out for letters to Santa.

But instead of enlisting the likes of little Billy and Suzie, we were looking for all the adults out there to write their own wish lists for jolly ol’ St. Nick.

Unfortunately, we didn’t quite get the response we were looking for as we got a grand total of one. We were even hoping for a few that we couldn’t print, but nope just the one.

That’s alright though, because of a nice reader named Vicki, we have one to pass along to our dear friend Santa.

And we also decided to write one.

Dear Santa!

I have been a good girl all year. I go to work every day I’m scheduled. I keep my house clean for my cat and myself. I did have to buy a newer (2008) car this year as my 1995 car just wouldn’t work anymore.

First time in my life I have a car payment, which is not what I wanted as I had hope to retire this year.

Being of the golden years my eyes aren’t quite the way they were when I was 20. I like doing crafts (crocheting, coloring in big girls coloring books, and I make jewelry). What I need is a lamp that will give the best white light possible. I have seen some that would do the trick but are priced way out my budget to even think about. I would really, really, really love to have one of those lamps for my desk where I do my crafting.

Thank you for reading my letter my letter.

Hope this finds you well.

It’s cold out there. Remember to dress warmly when you do your journey on Christmas Eve.

Dear Santa,

We sure hope you’ve been enjoying all the press we’ve been giving you about your trips to Concord, Bow and Penacook this year.

It sure is nice of you to dedicate so much time to this little area of the world.

And since you seem to be a big fan of Concord – and likely the Insider – we’re hoping you can help us with a few things on our Christmas list.

For us, we’d like a satellite office in the downtown area. We spend so much time down there, we really should have a place we call home closer to town. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy. We trust your judgment.

As for the city, we’d love to see more eating contests to take part in. You know how much we love food.

A permanent cold weather shelter would be nice so there doesn’t need to be a scramble each year to figure out where it will be.

A mini golf course in the city limits would be an added bonus, as would a sweet arcade. Hey, we like to be kids, too.

Well, that’s probably enough for now. Good luck this year.
