If you’ve ever been to a Little Rattlers music class at the Concord Community Arts Center, you’re probably quite familiar with Mr. Aaron (real name Aaron Jones).

If not, you’ll have a great chance to learn about him – and his music – at his CD release show this Saturday.

The album, All My Friends Are Giants, hit the shelves last week, and Mr. Aaron will be at the community arts center at 4 p.m. Saturday to play some of the songs from the CD.

The music is meant for kids, but judging by experience (we went to a Little Rattlers class in September), adults will find plenty to enjoy, too.

Here’s a little description from Mr. Aaron himself:

“Count on a thrilling musical adventure with Mr. Aaron. With great grooves and an uptempo folk-pop sound, All My Friends Are Giants tells stories – of a tea party for giants, of Ali Baba, who won’t listen to his poor camel, of a duck who likes to think – and features some outlandish instruments, like the bass clarinet, the cajon and more. Kids and grown-ups alike dance and laugh along.

With years of experience performing and teaching, Mr. Aaron brings unparalleled energy, enthusiasm and creativity to his concerts, albums and videos. After nearly 10 years as a professional musician in New York City, Jones and his family moved to Concord to have a baby and open a recording studio.”

The Mr. Aaron Band will be at the studio – on the second floor – playing the hits. Some light refreshments will be provided.

The cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for each sibling (same prices at the Little Rattlers classes). CDs will be on sale for $10.
