We want to start getting into the habit around here of trying all kinds of beers and wines. We’re not alcoholics, just good public servants who want to tell you about what there is to drink around Concord.

We went to The Barley House last week to try the signature Barley House 10-Year pale ale, made to celebrate the bar’s 10th anniversary. It’s not an IPA, but an unfiltered pale ale. You could call it a UPA if you want.

It’s crisp and hoppy like an IPA, but with a milder, softer aftertaste. In other words, it’s more accessible to casual beer-drinkers.

It’s easy to string a few of these together, especially if you’re sitting outside in the nice spring weather.

Try it!
