Quality Cash Market’s Tony Heath has been cutting meat for 50 years

That’s Moe Duncan with bacon wrapped steaks. Yeah, you heard us. No wonder it’s the best selling steak in the joint, according to Heath.

We’re willing to bet Tony Heath has been cutting meat longer than you’ve been doing just about anything. After all, he’s been at it for 50 years now (not consecutively, of course. He does go home to sleep sometimes.)

Heath is the owner of Quality Cash Market on Eastman Street, and the market is celebrating its annual Customer Appreciation Day tomorrow (July 22). What Heath doesn’t know – unless he’s reading this right now – is that the family intends to celebrate his 50 years as an expert butcher as part of the festivities.
There’s plenty more going on, too. The majority of the day’s action will be between 1 and 6 p.m. (though there will be coffee and donuts in the morning) and will include wine tasting, a barbecue and some raffle and gift certificate prizes. The Hawk radio station will also be doing a remote broadcast.

Heath said he’ll be retiring in a few years, but promised the following – that Quality Cash Market will remain as excellent as ever thanks to the outstanding employees.
