Monthly meeting for H.R. association on Nov. 20

The members of the Human Resources Association of Greater Concord (HRAGC) will hold their monthly meeting at 7:45 am on Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Maine Room at Two Delta Drive.

The program for this meeting, entitled “A Layman’s Guide to the ACA,” will provide participants with an overview of the information needed to navigate the Affordable Care Act at their companies.

“The amount of information that employers and HR professionals need to navigate regarding the Affordable Care Act is staggering,” says Tom Harte, president and founder of Landmark Benefits Inc.

Harte will be the presenter for the meeting. “Participants will be provided insight and tips to successfully address health care reform from an employer’s perspective,” he says. “The purpose of this presentation is to simplify the complicated aspects of health care reform.”

Topics will include employer mandate, various employer solutions, as well as counting employees, offering benefits, what constitutes measurement periods, employer payments, compliance issues and the impact on health plan premiums as a result of ACA.

There will also be an update highlighting current human resource and organizational legal issues.
