Classic Concord photo – Tue, 25 Mar 2014

For years we’ve been advocating for more trains in the Capitol City. But just like everything else we try to get done around here, our voices have gone unheard. Unfortunately, trains are a thing of the past in these parts, that is unless you consider model trains and in that case, we don’t have enough fingers and toes to count that high. This fine set of tracks, circa 1900, eventually became home to the Capitol Shopping Center on Storrs Street. A big shout out goes to reader Earl Burroughs for this sweet photo and rekindling our initiative for more trains. Thanks Earl!
