Authors to sign bird book at Audubon today

Robert P. Fox and Allan R. Keith have written a book titled The Birds of New Hampshire, which is the first book in 100 years to document the sightings of birds in New Hampshire.

The authors will be signing copies of their book tonight from 4 to 6 at the Audubon’s McLane Center, located at 84 Silk Farm Road.

Interested bird lovers can meet the authors, purchase a great Christmas gift for their favorite bird lover and have it autographed.

The book includes the first statewide coverage of all species in 110 years; status and distribution for all 427 species, seasons of occurrence and abundance; history of the statewide Christmas bird count; summary of N.H. hawk watching data; location and identity of over 4,800 museum specimens collected in the state; summary of over 17,500 bird band returns for N.H.; breeding bird survey results since 1966; bibliography of over 1,200 titles covering the last 200 years.

The book is being sold exclusively at New Hampshire Audubon McLane Center Nature Store.
