Meet the newest member of the Insider staff, Tim Goodwin, who joins us after spending seven years at the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript, most recently as the sports editor. Tim (barely) graduated from ConVal High School in Peterborough and went to Keene State College, earning his bachelor’s degree in journalism. Tim lives in Keene with his wife, Mary, and their cats, Fig and Miss Boo.
What are you looking forward to most in your new job?
Sleeping at my new desk or stealing other people’s lunches.
Who’s your favorite famous Concordian?
Is there one?
What’s the best thing about Concord? What are you most excited to learn about here?
Nobody knows me here. Trying every restaurant to find the best place to have a beer and a burger.
Coffee or tea?
Neither, I prefer water.
How do you unwind after a hard day at the office?
Cook a nice dinner and spend time with my wife and two cats.
What were you last listening to on your ipod?
The Wood Brothers.
Chocolate or vanilla?
Vanilla hands down. Not even a contest.
Push-ups or sit-ups?
One handed push ups. Just wish I could do them.
Push-ups or chocolate?
It’s close, but I will have to go with chocolate.
What do you do for fun?
Watch sports and long walks on the beach.
If you weren’t a reporter, what would you be doing?
Making delicious beer.
