Girls Inc. set for 12th annual 5K race

This will be our 12th year running the Girls Inc. of New Hampshire 5K Race to raise funds to give at-risk girls the opportunity to take part in our quality empowerment and prevention programs, specifically our Mind and Body initiative. We are part of a national non-profit organization with 90 affiliates across the country. Our mission and passion is to support girls to achieve their personal best.

Although the race is in its 12th year, it is our first year in Concord. We have a center in Concord and are looking forward to working with the Concord community to make this race a success. This year’s race will take place April 13 at 9 a.m. at Northeast Delta Dental and will feature a variety of road, paved bike bath, and trail surfaces. In addition to T-shirts to the first 200 runners, we will be giving out goody bags with Northeast Delta Dental toothbrushes, chip clips, The Big Scoop Book – An Ice Cream Lover’s Guide to New Hampshire and other fun giveaways. For food, we will have delicious oatmeal raisin bars from Cafe Indigo and yogurt from Stonyfield Farm, baked goods from Panera, bottles of water from the Ninety-Nine Restaurant, as well as our usual post-race feast. We have some excellent age group awards and raffle prizes from Simple Hydration, Beeze Tees Screen Printing, One More Mile Running Apparel, Jeremy’s Bootcamp, Joe King’s Shoe Shop and Good Health is a Habit.
