Concord YMCA haunted house

Fun Family Friday returns to the Concord Family YMCA on Oct. 26, with a spooky twist. In addition to dinner, there will be a Haunted House at Kydstop, located in the old firehouse next to the YMCA on Warren Street. Younger kids, or easily frightened kids of all ages, can opt to partake in fright-free fun in the YMCA’s small gym, accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Fun Family Fridays are open to all; YMCA membership is not required. Cost is $5 per family, including dinner. Registration is requested by noon on Oct. 26. Dinner is available from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the small gym will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Haunted House at Kydstop is completely free, and all community members are encouraged to stop by from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Also enjoy trick-or-treating downtown from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. during Intown Concord’s annual Halloween Howl event. Main Street will be closed in order to keep little ghosts and goblins safe from traffic.

To register, call 228-9622, stop by the welcome center at 15 North State St., or visit the Concord Family YMCA’s website at concordymca.org.
