Beat the summer heat and cool off with some frosty, free treats at the Concord Food Co-op. The Co-op will host its fourth annual Brain Freeze! Ice Cream Social Aug. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The outdoor free event will include a sundae bar with numerous topping choices. Samples of frozen desserts, root beer floats, and snow cones will be available from a variety of New England and all-natural companies. Children's activities, music and grilled hot dogs will be available in the parking lot, weather permitting. Participants will receive a coupon for 10 percent off any frozen novelty at the Co-op.
This event is open to the public; however, the Co-op encourages everyone to bring or buy a canned good to donate to the New Hampshire Food Bank.
