TV show in the works

The Concord Police Department will soon be hosting a new television show at Concord TV. Taping began in late January for “On the Beat with the Concord Police Department.” Community Resource Officer Ryan Howe, host of the show, has been working diligently with the leadership and support of Concord TV executive director Doris Ballard, programming/IT director Chris Reinhardt, and Concord High School resource officer Mark Hassapes to make this vision a reality for the Concord community.

Key segments of the show will include introducing viewers to different pisions of the Police Department, such as the Computer Crimes Unit, for example. In addition to interview segments that will provide relevant local information to our citizens, the show will go on the road and cover law enforcement related topics. Show topics will highlight local events like National Night Out, the 4th of July celebration, and other festivities that might impact local travel.

The department will collaborate with others in the community to bring helpful information to viewers in furtherance of making Concord a great community to live, work and play. The department will also be looking to the community for input and suggestions for show topics as planning and production develops in the coming months.
