Merrimack County Conservation District is asking all high school students in the county to participate in an art contest. The district produces a local food guide every year to give citizens information about local farms and the types of food they produce. The winning piece of artwork from this contest will be next year's guide cover. This guide is distributed to 33,000 people annually and will provide an excellent place for the student to display his or her work.
To participate in the contest, the student must be in grades 9 – 12 and a resident of Merrimack County or attending school in Merrimack County. To be considered in the contest, we must be able to reproduce the artwork on a newspaper and it must relate in some way to local foods. The student must complete the artwork application form and return this form and the artwork to the Merrimack County Conservation District office.
