The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is once again conducting a food and toy drive to help New Hampshire families in need this holiday season. Now through Dec. 16, the Discovery Center will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. And, through Dec. 31, non-perishable food items will be collected to support the New Hampshire Food Bank.
As part of the food drive, visitors who bring one item of food will receive $1 off general admission. A 10 percent discount on purchases made in the Science Store will also be given for two or more food items donated. Collection boxes for both drives are located by the front desk and in the Science Store. Items may be dropped off Thursday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
