Wheelchair fencing

The Concord Fencing Club has begun to develop a “Wheelchair Fencing” program. Interested? Wheelchair fencing is for people with limited mobility. A better name for this intense sport would be “Seated Fencing.” The athletes are seated in a fixed chair that does not move or roll.

To learn more about wheelchair fencing, you can visit iwasf.com, paralympics.com or usfencing.org. To see some actual wheelchair fencing, you can visit youtube.com.

Give us a call at 224-3560 and come check out our facility. Take a short lesson and get an accurate picture of what “Wheelchair Fencing” is all about.

We have set aside Thursday evening from 7 to 10 p.m. as wheelchair fencing time, but one-on -one inpidual lessons can often be scheduled at almost any time of the day, Monday through Thursday. Call for more information and lesson times. Visit our website at concordfencingclub.org.
