On Jan. 8 about 9 p.m., Officer Joseph Pitta was dispatched to the Pitman building for a report of a fight. When he arrived, he found Ashley-Ann Mullen, 19, of Concord, outside the apartment. She told him, “You're here for me,” the report said.
Mullen told Pitta she'd come to the apartments to confront her ex-boyfriend, who she just found out had cheated on her with one of her friends. Mullen said it wasn't a big fight, that she'd just planned to get her backpack and leave, but instead had grabbed her ex by the shirt and pushed him.
Witnesses told the police another story: Mullen, they said, had barged through their locked apartment door, yelling and demanding to know where the ex-boyfriend was. Mullen refused to leave until she spoke to him, according to the report. Finally, she agreed to wait in the lobby until he came back, the report said.
When he did arrive, witnesses told the police, Mullen pushed him, “grabbed the hood of his sweatshirt and dragged him outside,” Pitta wrote. Outside, Mullen continued to yell at the ex-boyfriend and push him around, the report said.
At the police station, Pitta searched Mullen. “During booking, she told me that she had smoked 'crack' earlier that day,” Pitta wrote. “She also told me that she was trying to kill 'whatever was in her stomach' because (the ex-boyfriend) was the father.”
Mullen was charged with simple assault, criminal trespass and failure to appear in court for an unrelated unlawful possession of alcohol charge. She declined bail and was transported to Merrimack County House of Corrections.
