Business After Hours: Bring nonperishable goods instead of cash

The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce will collect non-perishable goods at the Business After Hours event held on Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott. In lieu of a registration fee, each attendee is asked to bring four non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Capital Region Food Program.

Donated items such as peanut butter, rice, pasta, soup, canned vegetables and fruit will be used by the food program in December when more than 2,400 Merrimack County families will receive two food boxes as part of the 37th Holiday Food Basket Project.

The Holiday Food Basket Project begins on Dec. 16 at the National Guard Armory on Pembroke Road and will end on Dec. 26. For more information, contact Maria Manus Painchaud at 224-1744 or hfbp@capitalregionfoodprogram.org.
