Adopt-A-Family/Inpidual Items: We ask each of our children here at FIT three things they would like for the holidays. Those three things cannot exceed $75 total value. Then we go into the community and ask donors to sponsor these chil dren’s wishes for the holidays.

Adult/Senior Items: For every family that moves into one of our apartments they are given an essentials basket. Some of the items include: laundry basket, pots and pans, dishes (set of 4), flatware (set of 4), twin bed sheet and blanket, pillows.
Gift Certificates: We are always looking for gift certificates or vouchers for families to go out for a social opportunity. This could be bowling, movie tickets, grocery and dinner gift certificates.

Fellowship Housing Opportunities, Inc.

Mission: We offer decent, affordable housing and support services to people recovering from mental health illness.
Service Area: Concord area Adult/Senior Items: Various sizes for the men and women that occupy our group home. Everything from shoes and boots, hats, gloves, coats and personal care items are always welcomed.
Gift Certificates: There is always a need for haircuts, coffee, pizza and sandwich shop gift certificates. Our clients do most of their shopping downtown so anything from this area would be a great gift idea. They also use the taxis in the winter months so vouchers for taxi service would be a big help. Bus passes are also welcomed.
Other Items: Art supplies are used by many of the clients so anything related to arts and crafts would be a great group home gift (drawing paper, paint brushes & paint, stencils, colored pencils, coloring books, beading supplies etc.).

The Friends Program’s Foster Grandparent Program

Mission: The Friends Program connects more than 3,400 volunteers with a wide range of local needs and runs an emergency shelter for families. The Foster Grandparent Program pays a small stipend to low-income seniors to enable them to volunteer with at-risk children in schools, childcare centers, Head Start and other youth programs to help children succeed.
Service Area: Merrimack County and eight other counties
Gift Certificates: Low-income seniors struggle to pay for basic needs such as eyeglasses. Foster Grandparents volunteer with at-risk children in schools and need correct eyeglass prescriptions. Gift cards to LensCrafters or other local optometrists would be a wonderful gift. Gift cards to a hair salon (Walmart or other) would also be greatly appreciated by them.

Friends of Forgotten Children

Mission: To assist children and families experiencing hardships by helping to improve their quality of life with food, clothing and holiday gifts and insure greater stability.
Service Area: Greater Concord and surrounding towns primarily, but we will never turn a family in need away Adopt-a-Family/Child Items: Parents of children from families that are low-or no-income sign up for the kids to receive gifts. These wish lists are passed on to our adoptive givers, who in turn purchase both gifts and warm clothing. The items are returned to Friends of Forgotten Children, where we pass the gifts to the proper children and families. We accept children from age zero through high school.
Children/Teen Items: New gifts and clothing for children of all ages. All clothing sizes are appropriate as well.
Adult/Senior Items: Age appropriate gifts including sweets (regular and sugar free), blankets, slippers and all warm clothing.
Gift Certificates: Typical requests include gift cards to Walmart, Target, Best Buy, movie theaters, gas cards and grocery stores.

Items: Food baskets are being provided to 50 percent more inpiduals, households and people under 18 than in 2009. We need peanut butter, grape jelly, fruit juice, spaghetti sauce, Ramen noodles, soup, mac & cheese, beef stew, beef franks, pork & beans, tuna fish and pasta Other Items: Toilet paper, toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, deodorant, laundry & dish detergent, diapers, diaper wipes, shampoo, rolls of food wrap and sandwich bags.

McKenna House

Mission: We are a 26-bed homeless shelter serving adult men and women. Residents are provided with a warm bed, food, toiletries, laundry, clothing and case management.
Adopt-a-Family/Child Items: Opportunities are available to adopt inpiduals at the shelter.
Food Basket/Food Items: Fresh meat (hamburger, pork chops, roasts), canned meats (tuna, chicken), canned hash, canned beef stew, milk, eggs, soup, sliced bread, potatoes, onions.
Adult/Senior Items: Warm winter clothing, especially larger sizes for men. Winter coats, socks, underwear (especially boxers), winter boots, long johns, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats and gloves.
Gift Certificates: General gift cards that can be used to buy clothing or shoes for work, cards for gasoline, bus passes and beauty salons or barber shops.
Holiday Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteer assistance is needed for a Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving and a Christmas dinner on Christmas.

Sycamore Community Garden Project
Mission: Sycamore Community Garden Project helps low- income families access to garden space and all of the supplies necessary to grow food. We make sure that we have tools, compost, seeds and seedlings on hand for our gardeners to use. Please help ensure that the more than 100 families that participate can grow their own healthy vegetables. Donations can be left at the Student Activities office in the Student Center at NHTI, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Items (new or gently used): Hand tools for gardening; garden spades; wheelbarrow; garden hose; gift certificate to FEDCO seeds; gift certificate to local nurseries.

Mission: The mission and purpose of the Field of Dreams Equestrian Center, Inc. is to provide and promote the therapeutic and educational value of equestrian activities for persons with disabilities in a manner that promotes self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy for a cost that is affordable to the participant.
