To remember those you have loved

The opening ceremony for the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association's “Hospice Lights of Life” will be held on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Merrimack County Savings Bank, 89 N. Main St. Following the ceremony, hundreds of electric candles will be lit throughout December in the windows of downtown Concord, Contoocook, Henniker, Hillsboro, Penacook and Pittsfield. Each candle represents a loved one of members of our communities.

Janet Ball will speak briefly at the ceremony. Her husband received services from the VNA's hospice program.

The community volunteers for Hospice Lights of Life included Joyce Smykil, Rosalind Dickey, Sue Cassidy, Mary Barker, Heather Larivee, Rebecca Biss, Doris Harrington, George Harrington, Sharon Savoy, Therese Larson, Anne Hauck, Doug Hauck, Sue Plante, Sue Cassidy, Mary Raine, Jan Denson, Jane Bunker, Lisa Challender, Richard Phelps, Jean Coburn,Therese Larson, Marian Lavoie, Hilary Dooley, Yvonne Wiegelman, Joyce Bledsoe, Stephen Muzzey, Missy Samenfeld, Karen Carlson, Bill Santacruce and members of the Junior Service League of Concord.
