South Congregational Church transforms into Italy for one night

South Congregational Church, 27 Pleasant St., will hold an auction on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the auction is to help support the church ministries, including the homeless shelter and assistance program. Admission is free.

Do you recall the delicious ethnic foods at the 2007 auction? Well, this year’s theme, “That’s Amoré,” will feature an Italian piazza where locals are hawking goods and crafts, a Fountain of Trevi where you can make a wish and a gondola, as well as mountains of antipasti. One can graze and gaze leisurely whilst browsing the silent auction. And ready your wallet for spirited bidding when the live auction items appear!

Bring friends and family – IDs and passports are not required to visit our version of sunny Italy. Child care will be provided so that you can be worry-free as you are transported far away!
