Facebook Me!

Have you ever wondered about this social networking media that everyone’s talking about? Of the more than 300 million active users, the fastest growing demographic is people age 35 and over. Maybe you should register and see if you can locate long lost friends.

If you’re not the type to just jump in and try to teach yourself something new on the internet, “Facebook Me! A Guide to having Fun with Your Friends and Promoting Your Projects on Facebook,” would be a great introduction for you. It starts out with the basics – how Facebook is set-up, what you need to know to set up your profile, connecting with friends, privacy and security – and then follows up with more advanced information about sharing photos, applications and add-ons, the calendar and using Facebook to promote your business.

The instructions are easy to understand. The chapters have lots of illustrations to show you what the author is talking about. I think the most important chapter of the book is the one on privacy and security. Even if you’re not going to venture into the land of Facebook, your children probably are and they may not be aware of the need for setting privacy and security levels on their page so the whole world can’t find them.
