Boxes in your kitchen (i.e. from cereal, pasta, frozen food, crackers, cake mixes)
Boxes from storage bags, foil, plastic wrap, and wax paper
Wrappers from tea bags
Cardboard packaging from new clothing (i.e. shirt cardboard)
Ice cream cartons (rinse first)
Pizza boxes (no grease or food residue)
Paper bags from fast food/take-out runs
All of your junk mail and newspaper advertisements
Metal:
Can lids (place inside can; squeeze can to keep lid secure)
Foil seals from yogurt cartons (rinse first)
Jar lids
Clean foil
Plastics (Must be labeled 1 – 7):
Margarine tubs
Yogurt containers
Sour cream, dip, and cottage cheese containers
Some lids and caps
Produce boxes
Bakery trays
Egg cartons
Medicine bottles
Fast food cups and lids
No plastic bags of any kind go in your recycling container. Take these to the grocery store.
