Reiki (ray-key) is an ancient form of natural healing. Reiki means “universal life energy.” This energy is transmitted through the hands in a gentle, non-invasive manner. It is a natural way to relieve stress, pain and other aliments by restoring the body's natural ability to heal itself. The cost for a 30-minute session is $25 for members, a 60-minute session is $50. Sessions are held at the Concord Family YMCA, 15 N. State St.
Interested in practicing Reiki yourself? Take Reiki I and Reiki II at the YMCA. Reiki I is on May 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Reiki II is June 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Upon completion you will earn your certificates. The cost is $150 for members.
