Concord Reads is back at it and trying to get the city of Concord reading, once again. Last year, Concord residents picked up Barbara Kingsolver's “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” and attended various events related to Kingsolver's book. I thought Concord Reads 2008 was so cool that I joined the 2009 committee, and guess what? You can, too!
The planning process has already begun for Concord Reads 2009, but we're still looking for new members, and book ideas. Join us Wednesday, Jan. 21 at noon, in the Concord Public Library's Shakespeare room. Normally, the committee meets every other Tuesday at the same place and time.
