The Blues Party Band
The Blues Party Band is the headline act at Market Days this year. Led by sax legend Deric Dyer, the band consists of Cliff Goodwin, Marty Richards, Wolf Ginandes and Mitch Chakour. With an impressive resume (members can boast about playing with Joe Cocker, J. Geils Band and Joe Perry, among others) and some serious chops, the Blues Party Band promises to be a funky good time.
Christine Ohlman will sit in and lend her vocal stylings to their set as well. Ohlman, also known as “The Beehive Queen,” is best known as the voice of the Saturday Night Live band, a role she has filled since 1991. Her latest album, 2010’s “The Deep End,” feature guest spots from such luminaries as Catherine Russell and Levon Helm.

Mama Kicks
Locally-grown talent Mama Kicks takes over the main stage Friday night. Pembroke native Lisa Guyer leads this fun ensemble comprised of New Hampshirites (and one member from the Commonwealth). Gardner Berry plays keyboard, Chris Lester plays guitar and David Stefanelli rounds out the Kicks on drums.
With Chris and Lisa fresh off tour as part of Godsmack frontman Sully Erna’s band, you know these are some esteemed musicians. And with their history of huge sit-ins (Blues Traveller’s John Popper? Red states’ Mike Huckabee?!), who knows what they might have in store for the Market Days crowd.
What is guaranteed from Mama Kicks, however, is a night full of fun covers and a danceable good time. Wander over to the main stage; you can’t miss them.

Dusty Gray
Dusty Gray returns to Market Days this year after rocking it hard in its previous incarnation. Upgraded from the Bicentennial Square stage to a slot on the main stage this year, the band should come out firing its particular brand of New Hampshire country on all cylinders.
Frontman Gray will be joined by a bunch local boys: guitarist Matt Jensen, bassist Chris Noyes, drummer Tim Gray and fiddler Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki all call the Granite State home.
