You can finally get rid of that dusty monitor

Goodwill Industries of Northern New England announced a new partnership with Dell. The program, ReConnect, offers New Hampshire residents a convenient and free way to recycle any brand of computer and parts. Consumers can drop off used computers at any Goodwill store in northern New England, including six retail stores throughout the state of New Hampshire.

Goodwill's network of retail stores and donation centers creates natural drop-off points for computer recycling. The program's goal is two-fold: 1) to pert used computers and computer equipment from landfills and 2)to provide the community a way to responsibly recycle used computer equipment. Goodwill's goal is to recycle 950,000 pounds of computers and parts in the first year of the ReConnect program.

Goodwill is the first nonprofit in New Hampshire to offer free computer recycling. Consumers simply drop off computers and computer equipment at any Goodwill store. Donors are responsible for removing data from hard drives and other storage media. Goodwill staff provides donors with a receipt at the time of donation. Goodwill sorts the donated computer equipment and Dell's product recovery partner recycles and remarkets the recycled material. Proceeds from the sale of salvaged computers help to fund Goodwill's mission in New Hampshire and the northern New England community.
