On the dance floor

On Nov. 26, Officer Eric Pichler was working security detail at Tandy’s Top Shelf. According to his report, at about 11:30 p.m., he was approached by several staff members about a man “getting too physical” on the dance floor. They said that the man was drunk, flailing around and knocking into customers. They asked Pichler if he could remove the man, the report said.
Pichler approached the man, later identified as Trevor Colarusso, 21, of Loudon. “I could see him stumbling around the dance floor,” Pichler wrote.

“As I approached him, he was caught by another customer as he was falling to the ground.”
Pichler wrote that he told Colarusso that he was no longer welcome at Tandy’s. Colarusso responded with “yeah, whatever,” Pichler wrote.

Pichler eventually took hold of Colarusso’s arm and escorted him outside. “Once we got to the entrance, I told him that he needed to take a taxi home,” Pichler wrote. “I told him that he was not welcome back for the night. He told me to go ‘f—’ myself and left the property.”

At midnight, a bouncer at Tandy’s told Pichler that a man who was previously kicked out tried to come back inside. Fifteen minutes later, Pichler saw the bouncer chasing someone through the dance floor into the restaurant’s atrium room, the report said. When Pichler got to the room, he saw several bouncers wrestling a man to the ground.

“I was told that the man had come in through the front entrance without permission. When confronted, he ran and started a fight with the bouncers,” Pichler wrote.

While waiting for backup, Pichler grabbed a hold of the man and put him on the ground. According to the report, Pichler told him that he needed to stop resisting and to put his hands behind his back. The man, however, continued to flail his arms around. “I told him again that he needed to stop resisting or he would be Tased,” Pichler wrote. “He responded with ‘f— you’ and swung his right arm at me. I deployed my Taser, striking him with both probes in the abdomen.”

Pichler handcuffed the man. Once outside and under the street lamps, Pichler recognized the man as Colarusso.

Officer Ryan St. Cyr transported Colarusso to the station. According to St. Cyr’s report, Colarusso was uncooperative during the booking process. St. Cyr wrote that Colarusso intentionally moved too close to the camera and blew kisses while St. Cyr was trying to take his picture. While St. Cyr was trying to get his fingerprints, Colarusso twisted his body in order to make it more difficult.

“(Colarusso) was smiling and laughing at times at the fact that he had gotten arrest today,” St. Cyr wrote. “He had several other mood swings during my contact with him. He slapped the wall of the cell twice, but stopped when I asked him to. He yelled profanity and then immediately apologized for the outburst.”

Colarusso was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and resisting arrest. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due in court on Dec. 27.

‘No one touches me’

On Dec. 4 around 1 a.m., Officers Ryan St. Cyr and Melissa Pfefferle were dispatched to an Essex Street residence for the report of a domestic disturbance.

According to Pfefferle’s report, upon arrival she saw a man standing in the outside hallway. He told Pfefferle that his girlfriend, Deborah Roberts, 43, of Concord, was inside, drunk, and breaking things. The man said Roberts scratched him across the face. Pfefferle wrote she saw fresh marks on his cheek and said she told the man to stay in the hallway.

According to the report, Pfefferle found Roberts laying in bed and watching TV. Pfefferle wrote she saw broken glass and a candle laying on the bedroom floor.

Pfefferle asked Roberts what happened. Roberts said that her boyfriend had grabbed her sexually and that “no one touches me,” the report said. Roberts added that her boyfriend grabbed her face, but she pushed him away, the report said. Roberts told Pfefferle that she did not know why there was glass all over the floor.

Pfefferle went back to speak with the boyfriend in the hallway. The boyfriend, who had filed a report about Roberts earlier in the evening, said that when he left the police station he came home to shower and go to bed. The boyfriend said that as he got into bed, Roberts “started in on him” asking him where he had slept the night before and what “wh—” he was with, Pfefferle wrote.

“While I was speaking with the man, Roberts was yelling ‘you just want me out so you can bring that prostitute back here,’ ” Pfefferle wrote.

The boyfriend said that while in bed, Roberts started scratching his face, the report said. Pfefferle asked what happened to the glass and candle on the bedroom floor. The boyfriend told her that Roberts threw it at him.

Pfefferle went back inside to talk to Roberts again. “I asked Roberts if she wanted to tell me what happened now. Roberts stated ‘he told you want happened.’ I asked Roberts about the candle on the floor and she again said she didn’t know.”

Pfefferle arrested Roberts for simple assault and criminal mischief. Roberts was released on $4,000 personal recognizance. She is due in court on Jan. 3.
