How you can help raise money for children with cancer

The Draft Sports Bar and Grill has teamed up with the Manchester and Hooksett Fire Departments for the second annual St. Baldrick's charity event. The Draft and these firemen have issued a lofty challenge to everyone who wants to help raise money to eliminate childhood cancer: Be a hero for kids with cancer by shaving your head in return for pledges of financial support from friends and family.

Participants find that shaving their heads in solidarity with the 160,000 children who are diagnosed with cancer each year is a small sacrifice in comparison to what these children endure, and they want to raise money to help find a cure for children with cancer now and in the future.

The Draft restaurant, located at 67 S. Main St., will be hosting the event on Saturday, March 14, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Manchester and Hooksett Fire Departments would like to issue a challenge to other fire departments and police departments to also raise money and garner support for this important charity.
