Basketball, basketball and more basketball!

The Sunrise Conference, made up of eight schools from four states, will hold its “Final Four Mens' and Womens' Basketball Tournament” at NHTI on Feb. 28 and March 1.

There will be four games on Saturday, at 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m. and two games on Sunday at 1 p.m. and 3 pm. Although we cannot put the teams in the brackets yet, the first and third game on Saturday will be the womens' semi-finals featuring the No. and the No. 4 seeded teams.

At 5 p.m. the other womens' semi-final game will feature the No. 2 seeded team v.s. the No. 3 seeded team. The mens' semi-finals will be at 3 and 7 p.m., featuring the No. 1 vs. No. 4 and the No. 2 vs. No. 3. teams. The winners will play on Sunday, with the womens' championship at 1 p.m. and the mens' at 3 p.m.

The schools participating in this event are College of St. Joseph, Fisher College, Paul Smith's College, SUNY Canton, University of Maine at Fort Kent, University of Maine at Machias, University of Maine at Presque Isle and Vermont Technical College.

Tickets for the tournament are $6 each day, and student tickets are $4 each day. A tournament pass can be purchased for $10, $6 for students.
