Thursday’s Child Dinner at the Elms Restaurant in New London
On Thursday, February 12, The Elms Restaurant in the New London Inn will host a
Thursday Night’s Child dinner and fundraiser in support of the Friends of the Wilmot Public Library. Call The Elms to reserve a table, and you can look forward to a sumptuous meal prepared by executive chef Francisco Lopez, Jr. The Elms is generously donating a portion of the evening’s proceeds to the Friends of the Wilmot Public Library. Square Dancing is back in the Wilmot Town Hall
On Sunday, March 22, from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., Friends of the Wilmot Public Library will hold a community square dance in the newly refurbished Wilmot Town Hall at 9 North Wilmot Road. Renowned square dance caller, Don Bachelder, will provide the music and calling.
Don has been involved in Square Dancing since 1977, calling dances for over forty years in all of New England, New York, New Jersey, Florida, and the Montreal area. Donation for each person is $20 each or $35 a couple. Kids are free. Doors open at 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served. So put on your bolo tie, get out your square dance skirt, and don your dancing shoes. We will see you on Sunday afternoon for some great exercise, good fiddle music and lots of fun!
