As part of its Performing Arts Series, The Center for the Arts was delighted to bring
Windborne to the stage at Kearsarge Regional High School at the end of January for a truly unique and inspiring concert experience. The world-renowned a cappella quartet presented a workshop with the Kearsarge Regional High School Chorus, under the direction of Will Lavoie, and performed for community members that evening.
Windborne is celebrated for its rich harmonies and innovative approach to traditional
music. During their visit, the group shared their vocal techniques and musical talents
with students, who later joined them in song during the evening performance — creating
a memorable and collaborative concert experience.
This event marked the first concert in the Center for the Arts’ Performing Arts Series,
which brings culturally rich music and performances to the community. Upcoming events
include an Irish Celebration on March 7 at the Black Box Theater at Colby-Sawyer
College, featuring the McGonagle Irish Step Dancers and Celtic fiddlers led by Jane
Orzechowski. And on April 9, composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Ross,
will perform in concert at the Fleming Center at the New London Barn Playhouse.
