The Women’s Caucus for Art/NH Chapter, in partnership with Concord Makerspace, NH Craft Club and Kimball Jenkins, invites the community to join the “I Am Grateful for You” Community Postcard Project on Saturday, October 18, from 1–3 p.m. at Kimball Jenkins in Concord. No registration is required.
This free, drop-in event welcomes participants of all ages to decorate and send handmade postcards expressing gratitude to a friend, loved one, neighbor, or even a stranger. The more hands and voices involved, the more postcards—and kindness—will be sent out into the world. The organizers will even provide the postage.
Artists Anne Boedecker, Becky Desrochers, Cristina Hajosy, Susan Huppi, Susan Rock and Lizz Van Saun will provide art supplies and guidance to help participants create their unique postcards. Visitors can also explore information tables from Concord Makerspace, NH Craft Club, Kimball Jenkins and The Women’s Caucus for Art/NH Chapter. Autumn-inspired refreshments will be served to fuel creativity.
The “I Am Grateful for You Project” is a national collaboration between artist Anne Labovitz’s I Love You Institute and the National Women’s Caucus for Art. This nomadic, socially engaged initiative frames kindness as a radical act of healing. To date, more than 500 postcards have been sent across the country.
Labovitz, known for participatory artworks that counter isolation and foster empathy, founded the I Love You Institute, an artist-led initiative that combines art-making, social justice, and radical kindness to spark dialogue and social change. Learn more at labovitz.com.
