Every year across New Hampshire, many families, seniors, and children face the harsh winter months without adequate warm clothing. The cold weather can be particularly dangerous for those who cannot afford new coats or winter gear.

From September 29 to October 31, Granite United Way, United Way of Greater Nashua and Monadnock United Way are teaming up to collect new and like-new coats, so everyone has what they need before Thanksgiving.

“There has been an incredible outpouring of community support for this program – including Cleary Cleaners, who has generously offered to clean all donated coats,” said Kerry Folkins, community engagement director. “Over the past few years, we have seen a real need for this and our program will bring warm coats to those who need them before the holidays.”

Those wishing to purchase a new coat can do so through the program’s Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/NHGSME24SQ5S?ref_=wl_share
