Meet Arianna, a 35-year-old communications professional and municipal services executive who proudly calls Concord home. In her role at Unitil, she connects and engages directly with communities throughout the Greater Concord area, bringing a dedication to public service and a love for vibrant downtown living. Whether she’s perusing books at Gibson’s, enjoying Concord’s dining scene, or connecting with fellow young professionals, Arianna brings passion and purpose to everything she does.

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do. I’m a municipal and community services executive. I provide communications to municipal officials. I also engage with folks in the communities we serve, which includes Concord and the surrounding area.

Q: Why do you choose to live in the Greater Concord area? Many reasons. Concord has a vibrant downtown. You can grab dinner at one of the many great restaurants, shop at the multitude of small businesses, see a show at the Capitol Center for the Arts or a movie at Red River Theatres. I also just love walking through Gibson’s and perusing the shelves. There’s always something to do. And there are plenty of people here who love the community and are looking to make it even better or add something new to it.

Q: What is something you would like to see added or brought to Concord? I would LOVE for there to be a board game café and a cat café…or maybe a combination of both? Though perhaps the two don’t go together.

Q: Where did you go to school? I’m originally from upstate New York, so attended local schools there. I have a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Mount Holyoke College.

Q: What do you like to do for fun? I can be a home body so I definitely appreciate a quiet night in with a good book. But I also love food and trying new restaurants or revisiting favorites – Concord has so many great options. I’ve always been into music, so I love listening to new albums and going to concerts in Boston. I also enjoy hiking.

Q: Favorite place to be? Relaxing on the beach.

Q: How did you find out about CYPN and how has it benefitted your business or you personally? For me, CYPN has been a great way to meet other young professionals who love the Concord community as much as I do. There are so many great people who are doing amazing things here and are invested in Concord’s future. Plus, it can be difficult to make friends as an adult and CYPN has helped me to socialize here.

Q: What’s your favorite place to go in Concord? Downtown on Main Street, especially during the holidays with the music playing.

Q: What has been your favorite CYPN event so far? I loved the one at Go Native Gallery on Main Street. Being around all the different art was really cool and the hosts were really nice.

Q: If you could visit any country, where would you go? I really want to go to Scotland. I love the U.K. and Ireland, so Scotland is top of the list for me.

Q: Where is the best place you’ve visited? Greece for two weeks as a kid with my family. I went to some pretty awesome historic places in Thessalonica and met some extended family in northern Greece. Plus, the food was really, really good. Especially the ice cream.
