Memory loss discussion at Red River Feb. 25

We often joke about memory loss but what happens when it becomes more than a senior moment? AARP New Hampshire and New Hampshire Public Television are hosting a Caring to Remember Community Conversation on memory loss and dementia at the Red River Theatres (11 S. Main St.) Feb. 25. The screening and discussion are free and open to the public, and will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. RSVPs are recommended.

Caring to Remember will begin with a 30-minute screening of a special television program called Changing Aging in the Granite State and will be followed by a discussion with panelists and audience members. Experts include Dr. Stephen Bartels from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, discussing the evidence behind prevention; author Rebecca Rule, sharing her approach as a caregiver for her mother; and Joel Green from Merrimack County ServiceLink, bringing information on local resources.

To register online, visit redrivertheatres.org or call Red River at 224-4600.
