Classic Concord photo – Tue, 27 May 2014

Apparently baseball players used to be assigned uniforms based on what the coach guessed their future profession would be (what, no journalists?) These future doctors, dentists, lawyers and medics made up the Concord entry in the first New England Babe Ruth Regional Series at Rollins Park. So how’d they do? Well, their coach was named Win Avery (that means we have no idea and just thought that was a super fitting name for a coach). Thanks to Jim Boyle for the photo.
