After receiving more than 80 applications, the Concord Hospital Trust Scholarship Sub-Committee awarded $69,500 in scholarships to 25 nursing and allied health students.
Congratulations to the recipients: Brenda Band, Danay Cluche, Stephanie Dodson, Emily Fauteux, Olivia Foreman, Haley Gagnon, Michelle Goff, Jennifer Harris, Camryn Howe, Samantha Johnson, Arianne Kraft-Lund, Amy Ladds-Davis, Meghan Lahti, Emelie Lundeen, Kaiya Mercier, Lundi Moyo, Allison Parry, Broc Pelchat, Brenda Rogers, Lindsey Sanderson, Jacque Santilli, Julia Secor, Taiylor Stinson, Sarah Stone, and Avery VonKadich.
“This year we were lucky enough to have a group of applicants that were remarkable for their enthusiasm,” said Dr. Ken Deloge, Trust Scholarship Subcommittee chair. “And we were fortunate in having an increased number of applicants who were pursuing advanced nursing degrees. This is a trend that we have seen over the past several years.”
The scholarship opportunity is driven by more than just the current healthcare environment. Concord Hospital Trust has been awarding education funds since 2010. The annual scholarship funds are made possible by generous donations from Concord Hospital Health System benefactors.
“It’s important for the Concord Hospital Trust to support nursing and allied health candidates to support our community and recognize the importance of health professionals,” emphasized Deloge. “There are no strings attached to these funds, but it certainly is our hope that recipients would consider staying in their home community. They will be the ones caring for us in the future.”
Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic merit, personal character, and other criteria determined by a subcommittee of volunteers. Students who have lived within Concord Hospital Health System’s primary service area for more than one year, have graduated from a high school in the service area within the past five years, or are employed by the system are eligible to apply.
The 2026 class of award recipients included students attending Cedarville University, Emmanuel College, New England College, New Hampshire Technical Institute, Northeastern University, Plymouth State University, Purdue University Global, Rivier University, Saint Anselm College, Southern Connecticut State University, University of Maine Presque Isle, University of New England, and University of New Hampshire.
Deloge advises each student to “be curious and make learning fun. School is just the beginning of a career that requires long-term reassessment and learning.”
