Volunteers wanted

The Little Nature Museum, located at Gould Hill Farm in Contoocook, is looking for additional volunteers for the balance of its 2012 season. Volunteers who help visitors in the museum must give approximately 12 hours of service before the museum closes at the end of October. No previous experience is required. A volunteer must be able to stand on his or her feet for long periods of time. Some knowledge of nature, science, or the outdoors is helpful, but not mandatory. The most important prerequisite to being a good volunteer is your enjoyment of people and the desire to help visitors enjoy the museum.

Volunteer benefits include receiving a free year's membership in the museum, attending a volunteer pot luck “thank you” dinner at the end of the season, having your name and photo on our volunteer plaque, which will be displayed in the museum, and being protected by insurance for you and your visitors

If you are interested in learning more, please call museum director Sandra Martin at 746-6121. Volunteers must provide a resume or two references. An application will be e-mailed to you.
