The Tom Kinhan & Friends Jazz Jam returns to the CitySide Grille on April 27 from 7 to 10 p.m. In what is becoming a regular jazz happening, the saxophones of Concord resident Tom Kinhan will be headlining another jazz jam at this popular Manchester Street restaurant. Featured this month is Charlie Jennison, a well-known New Hampshire instructor and performer, on the keyboard. Tom Barron on trumpet completes the front line, backed by Brad Thorpe on drums and George Blodgett on bass. A number of guest instrumentalists and vocalists will further enrich the quintet, in an informal, jam session-style evening of jazz standards. Past performers have included Rich Gardzina on tenor sax, John Hunter on bass, John Faggiano on drums, Eli Goodwin and a number of local vocalists.
