Shoes, shoes and more shoes donated

Green Concord, a local business trade association, successfully completed its Soles for Souls shoe drive with a total of 2,060 pairs of shoes. Gently worn and new shoes were collected by 11 Green Concord businesses during August. A total of 46 boxes filled with shoes were shipped, weighing more than 3,200 pounds.

Soles for Souls has donated more than 11 million pairs of shoes worldwide; a pair every seven seconds. Despite this, the organization continues to be in desperate need of shoes due to several disasters. For more information about the program and how to help, visit soles4souls.org
