Rock out to feed others on Thanksgiving

Friends of Forgotten Children, 224 Bog Road, is pleased to welcome Dr. Harp's Blues Revue Band with special guest The Brooks Young Band on Nov. 22 from 3 to 7 p.m. The benefit concert will directly help the Friends of Forgotten Children's Thanksgiving Basket program. All attendees are asked to bring a food item or monetary donation of $10 or more.

Friends of Forgotten Children expects to help more than 400 families this year with Thanksgiving meals. Your help is desperately needed to make this holiday a happy one for so many families in the capital region.

Dr. Harp's Blues Revue Band is a four-piece powerhouse of music and fun, able to pull off amazing family shows and please the adult crowd into tapping their toes and even full-out dancing to the most innovative music genre of the past century. Some artists Dr. Harp has played with or opened for include: Steppenwolf, B.B. King, George Thorogood, Room Full of Blues, Big Joe Turner, Johnny Lee Hooker, Bobby Blue Bland, Gate Mouth Brown and Johnny Winters.
