Say 'yes' to joining the Concord Y.E.S. Team

The Concord Y.E.S. (Youth Environmental Service) Team is ready to roll! Our first meeting will be on Nov. 5 at 3:15 p.m. There will be fun, food and some serious work as we start our efforts to improve our environment. Our team of high school students will begin investigating local issues and potential environmental service projects to work on throughout the year, and if that sounds pretty cool to you then come and join us!

We're looking for high school students who are interested in tackling environmental issues in the Concord-area. Our team will identify local environmental challenges, find solutions and engage the community in active projects for positive change. Some potential projects could be working to reduce air pollution by helping expand the local bike sharing program and raise awareness about alternative transportation, studying water quality issues and proposing pollution prevention measures or starting a community composting program. The projects we work on will be up to the team!

It's a great opportunity to combine community service with an interest in the environment, meet others with shared interests, improve leadership skills, possibly gain high school credit and have some fun while creating change in the Concord area! For more information, contact Deandra Perruccio at PlusTime NH at 856-8837 or dperruccio@plustime.org.
