Merrimack County 4-H is looking for adult volunteers who can help evaluate youth's sewing skills and provide feedback to youth. This is a morning volunteer opportunity at Pembroke Academy. Volunteers will be provided orientation materials prior to the event as well as copies of feedback forms for youth in the novice, intermediate and advanced skill levels. Youth participants range in age from 8 to 18.
An orientation will be held in the morning prior to the event to review criteria and the process. Evaluators work as teams and do face to face judging with youth in a specific sewing technique area.
