On Saturday, March 28, a benefit dinner for John and Patti Kirk will be held at Living Hope Community Church, 31 Summer St., Penacook.
John Kirk, an employee of the Concord Monitor, is undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of tongue cancer and is unable to work. His wife, Patti, has not been able to find a job. The dinner is being put together by friends in hopes of providing much needed financial relief to the couple.
Bakes beans, ham or hot dogs, brown bread and dessert will be served at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The cost is $10, $5 children under age 12. Dessert is being donated by the Olive Garden.
