Concord TV invites you to experience a talent attack!

Just how much talent and creativity is there in the Concord area?

Concord TV knows for sure because it has featured hundreds of local artisans, performers, musicians, filmmakers and the arts organizations that support them, since it began airing its first live Arts Telefest five years ago.

This year, the station celebrates its fifth annual Arts Telefest, shining the spotlight on our arts community, on Sunday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Everyone is invited to enjoy the wide array of cultural offerings in two ways. First, you can watch it on local cable TV Channels 22 and 6. Or, if you don't have cable TV or are not able to receive Concord TV channels in your area, we invite you to drop by any time during the day to enjoy the talent in person. It's all happening at the Concord TV studio and on the Christa McAuliffe Auditorium stage, both located at Concord High School, 170 Warren St.

The event is free and will include refreshments and door prizes each hour.

This year's event will also include live performances by 11 local dance, theater and musical groups, featuring interviews and performances by more than 75 area artists, representing more than 20 arts organizations.

Concord Community TV is producing the Arts Telefest for several reasons, including: • To develop community arts programming on local television. To enrich partnerships with those organizations and businesses who support the arts in Concord.• To establish a sustainable, annual fundraiser for Concord TV.

Stay tuned to the Concord Insider each week as we keep you updated on the event.
