Way to outsing the rest of us, Louis

The Concord Coachmen Barbershop Chorus is pleased to present the 2008 Barbershopper of the Year award to Louis Jacob of Pembroke. Louis has introduced probably scores of the uninitiated to the joys of barbershop. Louis's joy in singing and performing is personal, but he really can't contain his enthusiasm, whether he's singing beside you or performing in the audience. Louis accepted the board position of vice president of chapter development and membership. He is known for his principled stands – usually for doing something better that we've done it before – what a concept! Congratulations, Louis!

The Concord Coachmen Barbershop Chorus, celebrating 52 years of community service in New Hampshire, performs a wide range of music styles, from jazz and doo-wop to great old folk ballads with a barbershop flavor. There are seven barbershop choruses in N.H. located in Laconia, Keene, Hanover, Nashua, Dover, Portsmouth and Concord.

Join us at rehearsal each Thursday at the Concord Community Music School, 23 Wall St. Rehearsal begins at 7:30 p.m. We always welcome visitors.

Thank you.
