It's time for our most eagerly anticipated issue of each year – the Cappies! We asked you, our readers, to vote for the best of the Concord's businesses, from restaurants to roofers, doctors to dog groomers and almost everything else our fair city has to offer. Now, we've the results compiled, tabulated and ready to serve to you on a piping hot platter of Insider-y goodness!
So what's different about this year's Cappies? Well, for starters, this is the biggest issue we've ever put out! That do anything for ya? With readers clamoring to find out who is the best of the best, there was a lot of demand for this paper, and we think we delivered – big time.
We saw some of last year's Cappies winners repeat in their categories, sure, but there were plenty of newcomers this year making some serious waves. One interesting location popped up for both best place to watch TV sports and best place to work. We'll give you three guesses as to what it is. Give up? Believe it or not, “home” placed in the top three for both those categories. If that trend continues, “home” will be first, second and third place in every category by as early as 2025!* Best after-work hangout. Best fitness center. Best place to bring a date!? They'll all be “home” if we don't start leaving the house once in a while. Come on, Concord!
