A corporate team-building event for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will be held on July 19 at Banks Chevrolet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Businesses are invited to find out how their company can be represented in the Making Strides event.

Of the 260 Making Strides walks across the country, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Concord is recognized by the American Cancer Society as the no. 1 per capita Making Strides event in the United States.

Event Chair Kimberly Laro says "Making Strides is not about one of us, it is about all of us, as breast cancer effects far too many of us. Our event gives people an opportunity to embrace a bittersweet mix-the celebration of the exceptional courage of survivors and the meaningful tribute to those we have lost."

This networking event will provide an opportunity to hear specifics about forming a corporate team and to meet other businesses with teams. Team leader kits will be available.
